Renewal Cycle: Biennial renewal (every two years.)

Complete 40 Board-approved CEUs every two years; NCCAOM-approved courses qualify.

Only 28 online CEUs may be counted each renewal cycle.

CE Breakdown: 25 hours must come from formally organized courses related to acupuncture, 15 of these 25 hours must focus on needle insertion and moxibustion. Those 15 hours are labeled AOM-AC.

Remaining hours can include adjunctive therapies (e.g., massage, electrotherapy, herbal recommendations, diet, or therapeutic exercise.)

NCCAOM courses labeled as AOM-AC, AOM-OM and AOM-CH are approved. Courses labeled AOM-Bio are not approved.
