Complete 15 PDA points in NCCAOM-approved core competency activities.



Colorado:  Biennial renewal; expires Dec 31st in odd-numbered years.NCCAOM certification is recommended



Connecticut: Biennial renewal; based on your initial licensure date.

Earn 30 CEUs approved by NCCAOM within the preceding 2 year period.


Indiana:  Biennial renewal; based on your initial licensure date.

Current and active NCCAOM certification, no state CEUs. 



Hawaii: Biennial renewal; expires June 30th in odd-numbered years. NCCAOM certification is recommended



Iowa: Biennial renewal expiring on October 31 of even-numbered years.

Current and active NCCAOM certification, no state CEUs. 


Minnesota: Yearly Renewal June 30th. 

Current and active NCCAOM certification, no state CEUs.


New York: Renew Registration every 3 Years, no CEUs required. NCCAOM certification is recommended.


Ohio: Biennial renewal; based on your initial licensure date.

Current and active NCCAOM certification, no state CEUs.


Oklahoma: No current regulatory board and no licensure requirement, NCCAOM certification is recommended. 


Pennsylvania:

As a condition for license renewal, practitioners are required to complete 2 hours of board-approved continuing education focused on child abuse recognition and reporting. NCCAOM certification not required. 


South Dakota: Biennial renewal..

Current and active NCCAOM certification, no state CEUs. 


VirginiaBiennial renewal during the practitioner's birth month in odd-numbered years.

Current and active NCCAOM certification, no state CEUs. 


Wisconsin: Biennial renewal; expires June 30th in odd-numbered years. NCCAOM certification is recommended


Alabama:  Alabama does not have a licensing board for acupuncture as an independent profession. Individuals cannot obtain an acupuncture license unless they are a licensed physician (MD/DO) or chiropractor.
